ABB NTST01 terminates the timing connections used by Harmony sequence-of-events hardware, coupling an IRIG-B source to the INTKM01 timing module and distributing RS-485 synchronization.
ABB documents twinaxial cabling, 62.5 kbaud RS-485 output and long-distance HCU synchronization limits together with defined isolation ratings.
Before replacement, preserve cable polarity and shields, IRIG-B format, cabinet-to-cabinet topology, termination, INTKM01 connection and the measured end-to-end time-synchronization performance.

ABB NTST01 terminates the IRIG-B input and RS-485 timing link used by Harmony sequence-of-events equipment.
ABB NTST01 connects the external timing source and synchronization link to an INTKM01 time-synchronization module.
The RS-485 synchronization output through ABB NTST01 operates at the documented 62.5 kbaud rate.
ABB NTST01 uses twinaxial cable with up to 4000 m between HCU cabinets and up to 40000 m from the server node to the farthest HCU in the documented architecture.
ABB NTST01 provides specified isolation between the synchronization link and IRIG-B input, so grounding, shield routing and cabinet bonding must match the approved design.
Commission ABB NTST01 by verifying IRIG-B reception, RS-485 timing output, polarity, termination, link diagnostics and measured SOE timestamp accuracy at the farthest cabinet.
