Standalone Operation: The instrument has a built-in -24 Vdc power output, which can directly drive a complete set of Bently Nevada eddy current sensors/preamplifiers to independently measure speed on small to medium-sized equipment without a standard 3500 monitoring rack.

Parallel Display: When a large monitoring system is already in place, the TACH100 can be connected in parallel with the existing system's Keyphasor® keyphase probe via a signal line, displaying the speed in real time near the unit for direct reading by inspection personnel, solving the problem of the control room being too far from the equipment.

Wiring Safety Restrictions

If connected in parallel with an existing 3500 system Keyphasor, always operate without power and do not share a common ground wire to prevent the introduction of noise that could cause false alarms from the keyphase module of the larger system.
