It is a non-contact Hall-effect speed/proximity probe configured with a 5 m armored cable and M18×1.5 mounting kit.
The specification describes one AC cycle per revolution or gear tooth, with high and low voltage levels defined at the published supply and load conditions.
Emerson specifies a maximum frequency of 12 kHz, equivalent to 720,000 cycles per minute.
The probe is specified for 10 to 30 V DC with a maximum current consumption of 25 mA.
The published air gap is 1 mm for Module 1 targets and 1.5 mm for Module 2 or greater. Final installation must follow the target geometry in the manual.
Emerson specifies magnetic soft iron or steel and excludes stainless steel as the measuring target material.
The current specification lists −25 to +100 °C operation, −40 to +100 °C storage and IP67 sealing.
