The GE IS210AEBIH3BEC belongs to the AEBI hardware family used in GE 1.x MW DFIG wind power converter systems. AEBI stands for Alternative Energy Bridge Interface. In the converter control architecture, the AEBI provides a galvanically isolated interface between the Multiple Application Converter Control (MACC) and the power converter. Two AEBI boards are used: AEBI #1 interfaces the MACC with the line converter, while AEBI #2 interfaces the MACC with the rotor converter. The interface handles IGBT gate-drive commands, IGBT protection indications, and converter feedback signals including phase currents, line-to-line voltages, DC-link voltage, and IGBT base-plate temperature.

The AEDB — Alternative Energy Dynamic Brake Bridge Interface replaces AEBI #1 when the Dynamic Brake option is installed.
The AEDB performs the same line-converter functions as AEBI #1 while additionally providing an interface to the:
Dynamic Brake IGBT Module and Battery Voltage.
Therefore: AEBI ≠ AEDBand they should not be described as the same board.
