The GE IS420YDOAS1B is a YDOA Discrete Output I/O Pack used in the Mark VIeS Functional Safety System. It forms part of the Relay Contact Output Module, providing an interface between Mark VIeS safety control logic and discrete process actuators. The module supports 12 discrete outputs and mounts directly on compatible SRLY or TRLY relay output terminal boards. Depending on the terminal board, the system can operate in Simplex or Triple Modular Redundant configurations. The I/O pack uses 24/28 VDC control power, provides visual status LEDs, supports diagnostic monitoring, and operates from -40°C to +70°C in industrial environments.

The basic signal path is:
Mark VIeS Safety Logic → IS420YDOAS1B YDOA → SRLY / TRLY Terminal Board → Relay Contacts → Process Actuator
The terminal board determines the final relay configuration, contact arrangement, wetting, fusing, redundancy, and field-terminal format.
