Vibro-Meter SIM-275A is the AC-input member of the RPS6U rack power-supply family used by VM600 machinery protection systems. It accepts a 115 to 230 VAC, 50/60 Hz supply and provides the +5 VDC and ±12 VDC rails required by the monitoring, processing and relay modules installed in the VM600 rack.
Within the SIM-275 family, the SIM-275A is selected for mains AC installations, while SIM-275D variants are selected for 24, 48, 72 or B0 high-voltage DC input ranges. RPS6U output capability also depends on hardware generation: earlier units are rated at 300 W and later redesigned units provide a higher total maximum output.
The VM600 rack can be configured with one RPS6U or with two supplies for a redundant power arrangement. For a correct SIM-275A replacement, confirm the full ordering number on the nameplate, AC input and frequency, rack model, PS1 or PS2 position, backplane jumper arrangement and installed hardware revision.
