This communication adapter connects a FLEX I/O station to a 5 Mbps ControlNet network and supplies the local FlexBus for as many as eight I/O modules.
The exact adapter provides only network connector A and therefore does not offer redundant ControlNet media; migration must account for network scheduling, EDS, firmware, cabling and controller configuration.

This adapter provides only the A network connector, so redundant media requires an ACNR-series adapter.
The adapter requires 19.2–31.2 VDC and draws up to 400 mA from the input supply.
The ControlNet interface operates at 5 Mbps.
Rockwell has announced an October 31, 2026 discontinuation date and classifies the migration as an engineering replacement.
