The Bently Nevada 3300 XL 11 mm Proximity Transducer System consists of: 3300 XL 11 mm probe, 3300 XL 11 mm extension cable, 3300 XL 11 mm Proximitor Sensor. The 3300 XL 11 mm Proximity Transducer System has a 3.94 V (100 mV/mil) output for non-contacting vibration and displacement measurements on fluid film bearing machines. The large 11 mm tip enables this transducer system to have a longer linear range compared to our standard 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System.

Physical Dimensions Identical: The physical dimensions and threads (M10x1) of the 330706 reverse-mount probe are exactly the same as the older 7200 series. It can be directly screwed into the existing mounting holes or sleeves without requiring remachining.

Electrical Components Must Be Replaced as a Set: Do not cross-use. Never connect the new 3300 XL probe to the old 7200 preamplifier. When replacing this probe, the original 7200 preamplifier and 7200 extension cable must be upgraded to the 3300 XL 11mm preamplifier and 3300 XL 11mm extension cable.

Voltage Locking Techniques During Unit Reinstallation

The standard mounting center point of the 11 mm probe is usually set at -10.0 Vdc (corresponding to a 2.5 mm gap). When screwing the probe in reverse, the slight adjustment of the thread gap during tightening of the lock nut can cause voltage jumps.

Empirical procedure: First, screw it in until the multimeter reads approximately -9.8 Vdc, then tighten it with a torque wrench. The thread deformation will bring the gap back to the standard -10.0 Vdc.
