System Compatibility: The probe itself is 1.0 meter long. For a 5-meter measurement system, a 4-meter extension cable is required; for a 9-meter system, an 8-meter extension cable is required.

Calibration-Free Feature: As long as the system consists entirely of 3300 XL 8mm components, the probe and preamplifier are fully interchangeable, requiring no recalibration.

Field Commissioning: Gap Voltage and Fault Diagnosis

Standard Midpoint Position: The gap voltage is typically adjusted to approximately -10 VDC (corresponding to a probe tip distance of approximately 1.27 mm / 50 mils from the workpiece surface).

Voltage Anomaly Troubleshooting:

If the reading is close to -2 VDC or lower: This indicates the probe is stuck to the shaft, or the probe head is severely encased in metal.

If the reading is close to -18 VDC to -22 VDC (usually the output of the preamplifier limiting): it indicates that the probe is too far from the axis (out of range), or the cable is broken, or the ClickLoc connector is not tightened.
