Technical Specifications

The 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements. 

Field Installation Spacing Specifications

Threaded Hole Depth: The depth of the blind hole or through hole at the mounting location must be less than the probe housing length (50 mm) to ensure the probe head is fully exposed and allow for adjustment clearance.

Target (Measured Surface) Dimensions: To achieve the optimal 2 mm linear measurement range for the 8 mm probe, the diameter of the rotating plane of the measured shaft (or the flat area of the axial plane) must be greater than 25.4 mm (1.0 inch). If the shaft diameter is less than 51 mm (2 inches), use a dedicated NSv series probe.
