The 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements. The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems.

System Compatibility and Installation Recommendations

System Compatibility: As a complete 5m or 9m measurement system, this 1.0m probe typically requires a 4.0m or 8.0m 3300 XL extension cable, ultimately connecting to the 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor. Ensure the total electrical length of the entire system (probe length + extension cable length) strictly matches the scale length of the proximitor (5m or 9m); otherwise, measurement accuracy will be severely affected.

Standard Calibration Medium: The system is factory calibrated for AISI 4140 steel by default. If the shaft surface being measured in the field is made of other special materials, the measurement sensitivity will drift, requiring recalibration of the proximitor.

Connector Protection: This model (suffix 02) features a ClickLoc™ gold-lock connector. It is recommended to use Bentley's dedicated connector protective sleeve or self-adhesive silicone tape during installation to prevent oil and moisture from seeping into the connector and causing impedance changes.
