The ABB IMHSS03 is an intelligent hydraulic servo module used for precision valve-position control in Bailey INFI 90 and ABB Symphony Harmony rack systems. It links the controller's position demand with a hydraulic actuator, drives a servo valve or I/H converter, and monitors actual movement through LVDT feedback.
The module compares the requested actuator position with the actual position returned by an LVDT. It then regulates current to a servo valve or I/H converter until the hydraulic actuator reaches the required position.
The IMHSS03 is primarily found in power-generation and industrial turbine packages that use hydraulic actuators for critical valve positioning.
