EXT*A is a BRAIN-terminal extension card used to access compatible Yokogawa signal-conditioner cards for maintenance and setting tasks.
Yokogawa lists EXT*A as requiring no power supply. Follow the connection procedure for the target conditioner and service terminal.
Before using EXT*A, check the official BRAIN-compatible list, including ET5, ER5, ES1, EM1, EH5, EA5 and EP3, against the installed card style.
EXT*A serves the BRAIN service connection for signal conditioners. Select network modules separately according to the actual field-control bus.
For EXT*A, review the supported BRAIN terminal or FieldMate/VJ77 arrangement and target-card restrictions before choosing the connection method.
Review EXT*A and ESC against the task-specific connection drawing; Yokogawa explicitly requires ESC with EA2 when FieldMate/VJ77 is used.
