The 990 Vibration Transmitter is intended primarily for the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of centrifugal air compressors or small pumps, motors, or fans who prefer to provide a simple 4 to 20 mA proportional vibration signal as the input to their machinery control system. The transmitter is a two-wire, loop-powered device that accepts input from our 3300 NSv proximity probe and its matching extension cable (available in 5 m and 7 m system length options). 

Main Functions

Independent Dynamic Waveform Output Interface (PROX OUT / COM): The front panel provides a non-isolated PROX OUT (coaxial BNC socket and terminals), outputting raw gap voltage and dynamic frequency vibration signals at a ratio of 7.87 mV/µm (200 mV/mil). This facilitates connection to portable data acquisition instruments or oscilloscopes for fault diagnosis and spectrum analysis.

False Alarm/Fault Lockout Circuit (Not OK/Signal Defeat): When the probe coil is open-circuited, short-circuited, or the connector is loose, causing an abnormal preamplifier signal, the system will activate the "Not OK" protection, reducing the 4-20 mA output current to < 3.6 mA to prevent the control system from triggering unexpected interlocking shutdowns (false trips) due to sensor failure.

Installation Specifications

The equipment comes standard with a 35mm DIN rail clamp. Ensure the rail is properly grounded during installation.

If the on-site environment is harsh (such as dusty, humid, or chemically corrosive), it is recommended to install the transmitter in a dedicated stainless steel protective enclosure that meets NEMA 4 or IP65 standards.
