Woodward 2301A 9907-014 is the low-voltage, forward-acting, EU Directive compliant standard speed-control variant identified in Woodward manual 82020. The controller regulates the speed or load of compatible diesel and gas engines or steam and gas turbines.
Woodward 2301A 9907-014 operates from 10–40 Vdc and works with an external magnetic pickup and proportional actuator. Isochronous control maintains constant prime-mover speed, while externally wired droop can support operation against an infinite bus or parallel prime movers.
Four internal switch-selectable MPU frequency ranges—500–1500, 1000–3000, 2000–6000, and 4000–12000 Hz—allow Woodward 2301A 9907-014 to be matched to the sensing gear and rated speed. Only one range switch is selected for the installed application.
