Woodward 8200-1300 is the 505D low-voltage standard steam-turbine control identified by Woodward as an 18–32 Vdc model. It is designed for turbines using a single actuator or split-range actuator arrangement.
Woodward 8200-1300 provides configurable speed and load control, start sequencing, critical-speed avoidance, alarm and first-out trip functions. Configuration, Service and Run operating modes separate application setup, approved adjustment and normal turbine operation.
The 505D platform can exchange operating data with plant control systems through a serial Modbus port and two Ethernet ports. The serial interface supports RS-232 or RS-485 with ASCII or RTU transmission, subject to the installed communication design.
