Woodward 8237-2596 is designed to protect compatible steam, gas and hydro turbines by detecting overspeed or over-acceleration and commanding the independent turbine trip system.
Woodward 8237-2596 uses three modules and a 2-out-of-3 voted trip architecture. The complete relay wiring and turbine trip-valve interface must follow the approved safety design.
Each Woodward 8237-2596 module uses one high-voltage input rated 90–240 Vac or 100–150 Vdc and one low-voltage input rated 18–32 Vdc with high-signal selection.
