Woodward 9907-163 is the AC/DC power version of the 505 microprocessor-based digital governor for steam turbines with single or dual split-range actuators. The official option chart specifies 88–132 Vac or 90–150 Vdc input power.
Woodward 9907-163 combines turbine control and local operator functions in one field-programmable unit. It supports generator and mechanical-drive applications that require speed/load, auxiliary and cascade control, valve limiting and controlled start-up or shutdown sequencing.
The 505 platform provides two speed inputs, six programmable analog inputs, sixteen contact inputs, two actuator outputs, six 4–20 mA outputs and eight Form-C relays. Two Modbus ports support ASCII or RTU over RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 for plant integration.
Before commissioning Woodward 9907-163, verify the AC or DC supply selection, protective earth, actuator arrangement, speed sensors, field wiring, configuration file, trip logic and independent overspeed protection against the installed turbine design.

Woodward 9907-163 is the AC/DC version of the field-programmable 505 Digital Governor for steam turbines with single or dual split-range actuators in generator or mechanical-drive applications.
Woodward 9907-163 accepts 88–132 Vac or 90–150 Vdc. Confirm the complete nameplate, supply source, protective earth, disconnect protection and terminal arrangement before energizing the controller.
Woodward 9907-163 is intended for compatible non-extraction steam turbines using one actuator or dual split-range actuators. Extraction or admission-pressure control requires the appropriate 505E configuration.
Woodward 9907-163 supports speed/load, auxiliary and cascade control, valve limiting, critical-speed avoidance, automatic start sequencing, controlled shutdown and first-out trip indication when correctly configured.
