Woodward 9907-167 coordinates turbine speed or load with extraction and admission pressure control in engineered generator or mechanical-drive applications. The configured valve arrangement and process-pressure strategy determine the approved operating logic.
The 505E platform integrates configurable control, sequencing, protection interfaces, local operation and plant-system communication. Correct commissioning depends on validated speed sensors, pressure transmitters, actuators, permissives, alarms and trip circuits.

Woodward 9907-167 requires an 18–32 Vdc source. Check polarity, voltage under load, protective earth, circuit protection, terminal assignment and the complete nameplate before energizing it.
Woodward 9907-167 is applied to compatible extraction or admission steam turbines in generator or mechanical-drive service. Confirm valve geometry, actuator direction and process-pressure requirements.
Both are 505E controllers, but Woodward 9907-167 uses 18–32 Vdc while 9907-165 uses 180–264 Vac. Power-input versions must not be interchanged without engineering verification.
