ABB ICST08A9 is a Temperature Input Module for Procontic CS31 applications. The selected 24 VDC order number is FPR3335901R1012, and the complete model and order identity must remain traceable to the installed configuration.
Key technical identifiers for engineering review include Input channels: 8; Sensor type: Pt100; Sensor standard: IEC 751 Class A / B; Wiring method: 2-wire or 3-wire; Measurement range: 0–300 °C. Check these values against field wiring, the ECZ base, CS31 addressing, project drawings and the current asset record before replacement.
For commissioning and maintenance, follow the approved isolation, inspection and test procedure. Record point checks, configuration, wiring condition and observed system response. For MRO procurement, provide a clear nameplate photo, required quantity, destination, urgency and revision restrictions, and distinguish new, surplus and refurbished condition.

Procontic CS31 is a legacy ABB automation platform. Confirm the complete installed configuration before replacement or migration.
Use 3-wire wiring when lead-resistance compensation is required by the accuracy target and supported by the installed sensor circuit. Match the approved loop drawing.
In a 2-wire circuit, lead resistance adds directly to the measured Pt100 resistance and creates a positive temperature error. Measure and document the cable contribution.
The class determines sensor tolerance and therefore the expected loop uncertainty. Module test acceptance should not be tighter than the combined sensor and wiring capability.
Use traceable Pt100-equivalent resistance values representing low, normal and high temperatures, then compare every channel with the approved tolerance.
Check continuity and resistance at the field terminals, substitute a known resistance locally and compare diagnostics before declaring the input channel defective.
Connect equal stable resistance references to multiple channels, allow thermal stabilization and compare indicated values over the specified observation period.
Place the process in the approved safe state, coordinate alarm inhibition, simulate temperature points and restore each alarm only after recorded verification.
Protect the connector and ECZ interface from contamination and electrostatic damage, control humidity and retain the FPR3335901R1012 label with inspection history.
Send the model, complete part number, quantity, destination and nameplate photo. We will verify identification details before confirming availability and lead time.
