ABB FEIP-21 3AXD50000192793 is an EtherNet/IP adapter module for installation in the option slot of a compatible ABB drive control unit. ABB specifies EtherNet/IP communication over 10BASE-TX or 100BASE-TX Ethernet with auto-negotiation and Auto-MDIX. The module has two RJ-45 connectors, X1 for the Ethernet connection and X2 for network chaining, and supports the documented bus, star and ring topologies. It is selected when the installed drive must be connected to an EtherNet/IP network using the module, firmware and network arrangement approved for that particular ABB drive application.
The official manual specifies an internally terminated network connection, a maximum Ethernet segment of 100 m, half-duplex or full-duplex operation, a minimum requested packet interval of 1 ms and three connections.
