This ProSoft Technology module installs in one 1746-compatible slot and lets an SLC processor exchange data with a custom Ethernet and serial application through M0/M1 files and user-defined ladder logic.
It is intended for local or extended I/O racks only and relies on a user-written C application rather than a fixed industrial Ethernet protocol, so the executable, source files, ladder map, IP settings, serial jumpers and wiring must be preserved during replacement.

Compatibility depends on the complete ordering code, installed hardware, wiring and approved engineering data.
It can be installed only in a local or extended 1746 I/O rack because remote racks are not supported.
Each of the two isolated application ports can be jumper-configured for RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 operation.
It appears as an I/O module and transfers data through M0/M1 files under user-defined ladder logic.
Protocol behavior must be implemented and validated in the user C application through the supplied communication APIs.
Back up the source code, compiled application, configuration files, Ethernet parameters, ladder data map, serial modes and wiring details before removal.
