1788-EN2FFR is a two-segment linking device that exchanges controller data between an industrial Ethernet network and FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1 instruments.
The unit provides two powered H1 trunks with redundant deployment options, diagnostic access and device integration for process-network applications.
Because the product is discontinued, any replacement must verify H1 segment loading, power conditioners, redundancy, schedules, device descriptions, Ethernet addressing, supported controller software and migration testing.

1788-EN2FFR links an industrial Ethernet controller network to two FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1 segments carrying process instruments and scheduled communications.
1788-EN2FFR provides two H1 ports, and each segment load must remain within the documented current and device limits.
1788-EN2FFR requires a regulated 24-32 VDC Class 2 or SELV supply sized for the linking device and the configured H1 trunk loads.
1788-EN2FFR supports up to 0.5 A for a single powered trunk or 0.4 A per trunk when both H1 ports are used.
Back up Ethernet addressing, H1 device schedules, device descriptions, macrocycle settings, redundancy configuration and controller mappings from 1788-EN2FFR.
The successor reference cannot directly replace 1788-EN2FFR until power, mounting, network, H1 scheduling, software support and redundancy behavior are reviewed.
Provide the full 1788-EN2FFR label, firmware, segment-device list, H1 current loads, network architecture, quantity and destination.
