ABB DO801, article 3BSE020510R1, is a Digital Output Module for S800L I/O. Its exact model, article number and installed hardware revision must remain traceable to the operating system.
Engineering review should compare Output channels: 16; Signal range: 24 V DC (12–32 V DC); Continuous output current: 0.5 A per channel; Signal type: Current sourcing; current limiting; Isolation: One isolated group of 16 channels. Confirm these published identifiers against the rack, termination, power, wiring and current project documentation.
For commissioning and maintenance, isolate the affected equipment, record the pre-change state, inspect labels and connectors, restore only approved settings and complete functional tests. MRO procurement should state the exact article number, condition, quantity, destination and revision restrictions.

S800L I/O is a legacy ABB automation platform. Confirm the complete installed configuration before replacement or migration.
Record the approved predetermined state of each output and its associated actuator before replacement. Under a controlled test, verify the application response to communication loss and restoration; OSP is not a substitute for the plant safety procedure.
The 16 outputs share one isolated group; they are not 16 independently isolated channels. Review the group reference and field supply arrangement before combining circuits with different ground potentials.
Use the 24 V DC signal specification and verify the field supply against the applicable ABB documentation. Measure voltage at the loaded terminals, including cable drop; do not use input-state thresholds to accept an output circuit.
Check controller communication diagnostics together with the module status and channel indicators. A load-side fault and loss of communication require different investigations; isolate the affected field circuit before resistance checks or reconnection.
Check actual channel loading, cabinet ambient temperature and mounting orientation against the module limits. Include typical module dissipation of 2.1 W in the thermal assessment; it is not permission to exceed the 0.5 A continuous channel rating.
Photographs preserve connector position, wire labels, common returns and supply polarity. Compare the record with the approved drawing, then perform a point-to-point check before energizing the replacement.
Require nameplate photographs showing DO801 and article 3BSE020510R1. Acceptance must identify a current-sourcing digital output module; a similar-looking relay-output product is not accepted solely on appearance.
Retain the exact article and serial details, approved OSP settings, channel-to-actuator checks and communication-loss test results. Record any wiring changes and obtain the site commissioning sign-off before returning the outputs to operation.
Send the model, complete part number, quantity, destination and nameplate photo. We will verify identification details before confirming availability and lead time.
