1756-TBCH is a 36-pin cage-clamp removable terminal block that provides the field-wiring interface for compatible CL chassis I/O modules. The block plugs into the front of the selected module and can be removed without disturbing individual conductors.
The official technical data specifies 0.5 N·m screw torque, single conductors from 0.33 to 2.1 mm², and paired conductors from 0.33 to 1.3 mm² using copper wire rated at least 105 °C.
Before installation, match 1756-TBCH to the exact I/O module, keying pattern, housing depth, conductor count and wire size. Use the extended housing when the cable-routing space or maximum conductor size requires it.

1756-TBCH is a 36-position removable cage-clamp terminal block that connects field wiring to a compatible chassis I/O module; it does not process or switch signals itself.
1756-TBCH accepts one 0.33 to 2.1 mm² conductor or two 0.33 to 1.3 mm² conductors per terminal, using copper wire rated at least 105 °C.
1756-TBCH uses a specified 0.5 N·m termination torque; conductor preparation, insulation diameter and the approved 3.2 mm screwdriver must also suit the cage-clamp assembly.
1756-TBCH is a removable terminal block, not an I/O module; compatibility depends on the exact host module, keying, pin assignment, housing and field-wiring requirements.
If conductor size or cable routing exceeds the standard housing space around 1756-TBCH, the approved 1756-TBE extended-depth housing should be evaluated for the installation.
