Foxboro FBM214 is an Eight-Channel HART Communication Input Module for Foxboro I/A Series. 4–20 mA analog acquisition and per-channel HART digital communication.
HART field devices and analog transmitters in I/A Series control. FBM214 has group-isolated inputs; FBM214b is a separate channel-isolated variant.
FBM214 mounts on a modular baseplate and uses compatible termination assemblies for field wiring.

FBM214 has eight 4 to 20 mA analog input channels. Each can accept a standard analog signal or HART FSK communication superimposed on that current loop.
Yes. The manufacturer says FBM214 supports any mix of standard analog and HART devices; a dedicated FSK modem on each channel handles bidirectional HART communication.
FBM214 supports universal, common-practice and device-specific HART message pass-through at up to two messages per second per field device. The official specification excludes HART burst mode.
The eight FBM214 channels are isolated as one group from ground and module logic, not from one another. Do not transfer the separate FBM214b channel-isolation design to FBM214.
When two or more HART loops share a common external power supply, the manufacturer requires a Cable Balun module to prevent channel crosstalk. Loops using FBM214 internal field power do not require it.
Confirm the modular baseplate, compatible DIN-rail termination assembly, loop-power choice and field wiring. Check communication on the redundant 2 Mbps Fieldbus and verify each analog and HART input.
Provide the exact FBM214 marking and revision, transmitter count and loop-power arrangement, termination-assembly number, baseplate, and any required Cable Balun configuration.
