Foxboro FBM215 is a Eight-Channel HART Communication Output Module for Foxboro I/A Series. Eight channel-isolated 4 to 20 mA outputs with per-channel HART FSK communication.
Analog control output and bidirectional HART communication to supported field instruments. The FBM215 has eight individually isolated output channels; do not substitute a compact FBM215 or redundant FBM218 without checking the approved configuration.
Mount the FBM215 on its modular baseplate and use a manufacturer-specified termination assembly for the installed field wiring.

FBM215 provides eight individually isolated 4 to 20 mA output channels. Each output can communicate digitally with a HART field device through its dedicated FSK modem.
Yes. The manufacturer specifies that FBM215 supports any mix of standard 4 to 20 mA and HART devices because their analog signals are electrically compatible. Match each output loop and field device to the design.
FBM215 supports HART universal, common-practice and device-specific message pass-through, at up to two digital messages per second per device; the official specification says burst mode is not supported.
Check the 4 to 20 mA output requirement and total loop load against the FBM215 specification; the published maximum output load is 750 ohms. Verify the field-device power and wiring arrangement separately.
FBM215 communicates over the redundant 2 Mbps module Fieldbus. It mounts on a modular baseplate with redundant fieldbus and DC-power connectors; field outputs are wired through a compatible termination assembly.
Confirm the baseplate slot, termination assembly, output polarity, loop load and HART device assignment. Then check analog output and HART communication on each commissioned channel.
