ProSoft 5205-DFNT-PDPS is a stand-alone ProLinx gateway that links EtherNet/IP explicit messaging to a PROFIBUS DP-V0 slave connection.
The module provides one Ethernet port, one configurable PROFIBUS DB9F port, user-defined register mapping and up to 244 bytes of input and output data within the documented 400-byte total limit.
Before replacement, export the configuration and record the PROFIBUS address, baud and GSD file, byte mapping and swap rules, EtherNet/IP client commands and server use, IP settings, failure behavior and 24 VDC wiring.

ProSoft 5205-DFNT-PDPS exchanges mapped process data between EtherNet/IP explicit messaging and a PROFIBUS DP-V0 master through its slave interface.
ProSoft 5205-DFNT-PDPS can operate as an explicit-messaging client and server, with the configured command list and internal database controlling data transfer.
ProSoft 5205-DFNT-PDPS supports up to 244 input bytes and 244 output bytes with a documented combined limit of 400 bytes.
Preserve the node address, GSD file, baud negotiation, input and output sizes, byte swapping and loss-of-connection behavior from ProSoft 5205-DFNT-PDPS.
A generic gateway cannot replace ProSoft 5205-DFNT-PDPS unless it supports the same EtherNet/IP roles, PROFIBUS slave function, data sizes, mapping and failure behavior.
Commission ProSoft 5205-DFNT-PDPS by checking 24 VDC power, Ethernet addressing, every configured client command, PROFIBUS cyclic data, byte order, diagnostics and communication-loss responses.
