Tricon is a legacy Triconex automation platform. Confirm the complete installed configuration before replacement or migration.
Record and approve 16 current inputs, 250 ohm precision resistors, 180 ohm current limiting and redundant 24 VDC supplies. The baseline must match the installed safety application before hardware is moved.
The integration record must cover loop power, W-jumper position, transmitter sharing rules and the selected analog-input range. Include drawings and point or port assignments with the change package.
Supplier inspection should include resistor tolerance, diode-OR power paths, terminal condition and channel conversion checks. Results must be traceable to the offered serial or nameplate identity.
MRO should provide 9771-210 nameplate photos plus transmitter type, 4-20 mA loop details, connected AI module and whether another system shares the signal. This prevents a visually similar but unsuitable spare from being selected.
Under the approved site procedure, source 4, 12 and 20 mA, confirm 1, 3 and 5 V conversion and verify both power feeds. Record observed system indications before returning the loop or subsystem to service.
