Triconex 3700A is a Analog Input Module engineered for use within Tricon Safety Systems. It supports installed control, safety and maintenance strategies where the exact module or termination identity must remain traceable to the approved system configuration.
Key technical identifiers for engineering review include Module category: TMR Analog Input; Voltage input range: 0-5 V, +6% over-range; Current input range: 0-20 mA with 250 Ω shunt; Input points: 32 differential, DC-coupled. These values should be checked against the installed hardware, field interface, project drawings and the current site asset record before replacement. From a system-integrator perspective, compatibility assessment should cover the complete model and hardware revision, chassis or termination arrangement, connector and channel mapping, field voltage or signal requirements, firmware or system release, and the applicable TriStation configuration.
For commissioning and maintenance, follow the approved isolation, inspection and test procedure. Record point checks, diagnostics, wiring condition and observed system response so the replacement decision can be traced to the installed loop or subsystem. For MRO procurement, provide a clear nameplate photo, required quantity, destination, urgency and any revision restrictions. Commercial confirmation should distinguish new, surplus and refurbished condition and should reference the offered serial or nameplate identity.

Tricon is a legacy Triconex automation platform. Confirm the complete installed configuration before replacement or migration.
Use the approved TriStation configuration and field design: 0-5 V connects as a voltage input, while 0-20 mA requires the specified 250 Ω shunt. Do not infer the range from live values alone.
It converts the current signal to the module’s voltage measurement. Engineering must verify shunt value, tolerance, installation location, loop supply margin and the resulting 0-5 V span.
The 32 inputs are differential but not point-isolated. Keep each signal within the published -12 V to +12 V peak common-mode range and review grounding so one loop does not disturb others.
The module specification is better than 0.15% of full-scale range from 0°C to 60°C. The test report should state source accuracy, shunt tolerance, channel points, stabilization and measured error.
Inject traceable values at the field termination, compare terminal measurement, raw module value, engineering-unit scaling and application indication, and test alarms separately from the module bench check.
Provide loop type, shield termination, common reference, cable routing, external termination panel and any ground-potential history. These details determine whether a replacement will see the same common-mode conditions.
Compare PASS, FAULT and ACTIVE state with channel saturation, unstable counts, common drift and discrepancies between field measurement and TriStation value. Verify range and shunt before replacing hardware.
Document exact model, revision, yellow color code, connector condition, channel test points, calibration equipment, test uncertainty and serial/nameplate traceability.
Complete loop checks on every assigned channel, confirm 12-bit scaling, alarms, common-mode behavior, diagnostics and application values, then obtain approval under the site functional-safety process.
Send the model, complete part number, quantity, destination and nameplate photo. We will verify identification details before confirming availability and lead time.
