ABB RETA-01 is an Ethernet adapter module for connecting a compatible ABB drive to EtherNet/IP or Modbus TCP networks. The module provides network access to drive command, reference, status, actual-value and parameter data.
The selected protocol, IP settings and drive profile determine how the controller exchanges data with the RETA-01. EtherNet/IP assembly definitions or Modbus register mapping must match the controller project and drive parameter configuration.
Record the installed IP address, subnet, gateway, protocol parameters, I/O mapping and drive firmware before replacement. Validate communications and safe drive response after the module is commissioned.
