ABB RCAN-01 is a CANopen adapter module that connects a compatible ABB drive to a CANopen fieldbus. It carries drive command, reference, status and process data between the drive and a CANopen controller.
The RCAN-01 installs in the drive option slot and is configured through drive parameters together with the CANopen object dictionary. Two rotary switches provide a node-address range from 00 to 99.
Commissioning requires matching the network baud rate, node address, PDO mapping, control profile and termination arrangement to the approved CANopen design. Verify the drive type and firmware before installation.

ABB RCAN-01 supports CANopen communication between an ABB drive and an industrial control network. Confirm the project architecture, companion modules and remote-end equipment before replacement.
