This ABB drive control unit contains the RMIO-12C board and provides the main control, standard I/O, option-module interfaces and optical PPCS connection used by applicable ACS800 converter hardware.
The exact application program must match the converter hardware, and replacement work requires full isolation, discharge verification, electrostatic-discharge precautions and confirmation of the installed option modules.

Provide 24 VDC within ±10%, allowing 250 mA typical load without options and up to 1200 mA with option modules.
The unit contains an RMIO-12C motor-control and I/O board.
It uses the V57 and V68 optical-fibre connectors for a 10 MBd ABB PPCS link to the inverter or IGBT supply module.
Slot 1 accepts I/O, encoder or fieldbus adapters, slot 2 accepts I/O or encoder modules, and the DDCS connector accepts an RDCO communication module.
After isolating the drive and waiting at least five minutes for the DC-link capacitors to discharge, confirm that the replacement carries the correct application program for the converter hardware.
