ABB DCF803-0035 is an external one-quadrant field exciter for DCS800 and DCS880 DC drive installations, with a documented 35 A field-current class.
The half-controlled converter is based on the SDCS-FEX-4 board, supports three-phase or single-phase operation and is monitored by the armature converter over DCSLink.
Before replacement, verify mains and field connections, selected 5 A or 35 A measurement terminal, current scaling, single- or three-phase supply, fuses and reactor, 24 V control power and DCSLink wiring.
